A/R Follow Up Specialist
Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the A/R Follow Up Specialist will manage follow-ups with insurance carriers on aged claims, research issues related to claims, and ensure resolution to facilitate payment.
Key responsibilities
- Follow up on unresolved claims and check claim status using phone calls and insurance websites
- Identify reasons for non-payment and take appropriate actions to resolve issues
- Assist with follow-up on patient balances and perform various special projects as assigned
Required qualifications
- 2+ years of A/R follow-up (insurance collections) experience is required
- Experience in medical billing and hospital claims preferred
- Strong problem-solving and research skills with a detail-oriented approach
- Prior office experience with a focus on problem solving and research
- Ability to summarize important details concisely in account notes
