A/R Follow Up Specialist
Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the A/R Follow Up Specialist will manage aged, unresolved claims by following up with insurance carriers, researching issues, and ensuring proper resolution to facilitate payment.
Key responsibilities
- Follow up on unresolved claims and check claim status through phone calls and insurance websites
- Identify reasons for non-payment and take appropriate actions to resolve issues
- Assist with patient balance follow-ups as assigned and complete special projects as needed
Required qualifications
- 2+ years of A/R follow-up (Insurance Collections) experience is required
- Experience in medical billing and hospital claims is preferred
- Strong problem-solving and research skills with a detail-oriented approach
- 2+ years of office experience where problem-solving and research were key to success
- Prior computer experience and ability to summarize important account details concisely
