ABA Authorization Specialist

Job Summary

To support the authorization process for ABA therapy services, the full-time ABA Authorization Specialist will manage requests, track authorization statuses, and collaborate with clinical teams and insurance providers to ensure clients receive timely access to care while maintaining compliance with relevant guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Submit, track, and manage initial, concurrent, and reauthorization requests for ABA therapy services
• Monitor authorization status and follow up with insurance providers to ensure timely approvals
• Collaborate with clinical teams to obtain necessary documentation for authorization submissions

Required qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare authorizations or a related healthcare administrative role
• Experience with ABA therapy authorizations strongly preferred
• Knowledge of insurance authorization processes and managed care plans
• Proficiency with CentralReach and Google Workspace applications
