Job Summary

Supporting employee inquiries in a call center environment, the full-time Absence Management Specialist will manage leave of absence requests, guide employees through the leave process, and ensure compliance with US and Canadian leave laws, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities
  • Acts as the primary point of contact for all leave of absence requests, assisting employees and problem-solving as needed
  • Handles the leave administration process from initial notice through return to work, including eligibility decisions and documentation review
  • Provides top-quality customer service and guidance regarding leave cases to employees, managers, and HR
Required qualifications
  • 3+ years of demonstrated Leave of Absence case management experience
  • Knowledge of US federal and state leave laws as well as Canadian federal and provincial leave laws
  • Experience with customer service technologies such as telephony and case management
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems efficiently while gathering and analyzing information
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and manage conflicting priorities
