Job Summary

Providing comprehensive academic support, the full-time Academic Advising Specialist will guide undergraduate students in degree completion, academic planning, and career exploration, while collaborating with campus services and community partners in a hybrid work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personalized academic advising to help students achieve timely degree completion and connect their skills with academic and career goals
• Monitor student progress and conduct proactive outreach to assist students from diverse backgrounds facing academic challenges
• Maintain accurate records of advising sessions and student progress, while staying current on university policies and advising practices

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• Demonstrated experience in a higher education student services setting or related advising experience
• Commitment to educational equity in a multicultural environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar tools
• Experience in establishing rapport and effective communication in diverse settings
