Academic Advisor

Job Summary

Building collaborative relationships with students, the full-time Associate Academic Advisor will advise on degree requirements and course scheduling while maintaining student records and supporting educational goals, with potential hybrid work between the Frisco and Denton campuses.

Key responsibilities

• Advise students individually and in groups regarding degree requirements and university policies
• Process graduation packets and update degree audits to evaluate and apply transfer work
• Present degree information at new student orientations and engage in retention and recruitment initiatives

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships
• Experience in advising or educational settings preferred
• Strong presentation and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with computer applications for record-keeping and communication
