Academic Advisor
Job Summary
Building collaborative relationships with students, the full-time Associate Academic Advisor will advise on degree requirements, course scheduling, and maintain student records while potentially working in a hybrid capacity between the Denton and Frisco campuses.
Key responsibilities
- Advise students individually and in groups regarding degree requirements and university policies
- Process graduation packets and degree plans to meet college and university deadlines
- Prepare and update degree audits, evaluating and applying transfer work in accordance with policies
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in advising or related educational roles
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships
- Strong presentation and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in using various computer applications
