Academic Advisor

Job Summary

A university in the Education industry is seeking an Academic Advisor for their Department of Business Administration, Leadership and Management.

Position Responsibilities:

• Provide academic advising to DBA, MBA, and PhD students regarding academic plans, policies, and procedures
• Interpret student needs and provide individualized assistance while maintaining confidentiality
• Participate in school-sponsored events including new student orientation, residential conference, and commencement

Required Qualifications:

• Earned master's degree in business, management, or a related field from a regionally accredited institution
• Excellent PC skills and other clerical skills
• Ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends
• Work experience in higher education student affairs or similar
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, communication and interpersonal skills
