Job Summary
A university in the Education industry is seeking an Academic Advisor for their Department of Business Administration, Leadership and Management.
Position Responsibilities:
- Provide academic advising to DBA, MBA, and PhD students regarding academic plans, policies, and procedures
- Interpret student needs and provide individualized assistance while maintaining confidentiality
- Participate in school-sponsored events including new student orientation, residential conference, and commencement
Required Qualifications:
- Earned master's degree in business, management, or a related field from a regionally accredited institution
- Excellent PC skills and other clerical skills
- Ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends
- Work experience in higher education student affairs or similar
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, communication and interpersonal skills
