Guiding high school students through college-level independent research projects, the fully remote Academic Mentor will provide consistent support and feedback over a multi-month engagement while working with a diverse student body.
Key responsibilities
- Guide students in scoping, researching, and writing their projects through video calls
- Provide thoughtful feedback and mentorship to foster student growth as researchers
- Maintain steady availability and engagement throughout the mentorship period
Required qualifications
- PhD candidates, postdoctoral fellows, lecturers, or professors affiliated with a top-30 US or top-20 UK university
- Demonstrated independent research output in the relevant field
- Prior experience teaching, mentoring, or advising students, preferably at the high school or undergraduate level
