Academic Program Specialist
Job Summary
To support academic program development, the full-time Academic Program Specialist will manage the Degree Works module, evaluate transfer credits, and ensure accurate student records while working remotely from approved states.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in the development and maintenance of academic programs within the Degree Works module
- Evaluate and interpret student records for transfer eligibility and maintain the course equivalency database
- Communicate with faculty, staff, and students regarding degree requirements and transfer articulation procedures
Required qualifications
- 1 to 3 years of experience in post-secondary Student Services or Enrollment Services
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal and institutional record privacy regulations (FERPA)
- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience with University Administrative software systems in STUDENT modules
- Ability to maintain a supportive demeanor when dealing with challenging situations
