Academic Reference Librarian
Job Summary
Providing virtual reference services, the part-time Academic Reference Librarian will assist learners, faculty, and staff in utilizing library resources, troubleshoot technical issues, and promote library services while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver reference and research services to students, faculty, and staff through various communication methods
- Maintain and update library instructional resources and operational materials
- Participate in professional development and team collaboration activities
Required qualifications:
- Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) or Master of Library Science (MLS) from an ALA-accredited institution
- 1-3 years of relevant reference librarian experience in an academic library preferred
- Strong commitment to customer service and experience with adult learners
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
- Knowledge of library research and online searching techniques
