Academic Technologist

Job Summary

Providing technical and administrative support for online courses, the full-time Academic Technologist will assist with Learning Management System (LMS) issues, conduct accessibility audits, and deliver training for faculty and students in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and resolve faculty and student requests related to LMS and educational technologies
• Conduct accessibility audits to ensure compliance with WCAG standards and assist in remediation efforts
• Develop and deliver training materials and sessions for faculty and students on various educational technologies

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of experience and education
• 1 to 3 years of experience in LMS or educational technology support
• Experience with ADA compliance and training preferred
• Proficiency in various Learning Management Systems (e.g., Brightspace, Canvas, Blackboard)
• Advanced knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) for online course delivery
