Access Services Representative

Job Summary

To support timely patient care, the part-time Access Services Representative will coordinate outpatient appointments and manage referrals while working remotely within Massachusetts and Connecticut, requiring a minimum of 15 hours per week during daytime hours.

Key responsibilities:

• Responds to physician inquiries to ensure timely access to care for patients, utilizing judgment to guide decisions on specialist selection
• Coordinates scheduling for outpatient appointments and surgical procedures across various departments, ensuring efficient patient care
• Engages with patients directly to facilitate appointment scheduling and obtains necessary referrals and authorizations for services

Required qualifications:

• Five years of experience in a physician office or healthcare setting
• Demonstrated understanding of clinical diagnosis and medical specialties
• Knowledge of referral relationships and client service functions
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, high-energy environment
• GED or HiSET required
