Job Summary
Providing essential screening and referral services, the full-time Access Specialist - NC will manage calls from members seeking health and behavioral health services, ensuring accurate triage and scheduling while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct initial screenings and referrals for health, mental health, and substance use treatment needs
- Assist with authorizations and admissions to various healthcare facilities as needed
- Input and manage data accurately in electronic records while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with relevant laws
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with at least two years of healthcare or mental health experience
- Sound knowledge of health, mental health, substance use, and developmental disabilities
- Proficiency in call center functions and understanding of confidentiality laws
- Ability to handle stressful situations and provide technical assistance to members and providers
- Excellent computer skills with the ability to multitask effectively
