Account Adjuster

Job Summary

To maintain the financial integrity of the Federal Perkins Loan portfolio, the full-time remote Account Adjuster will perform detailed borrower account analysis, process financial adjustments, and prepare compliance reports while collaborating with Loan Analysts.

Key responsibilities

• Review and analyze borrower accounts to identify discrepancies and process complex account adjustments
• Ensure all adjustments are documented in accordance with federal regulations and institutional audit standards
• Prepare financial reports and reconcile the Perkins Loan servicing system with the institution's general ledger

Required qualifications

• At least 2 years of related experience in loan servicing or finance
• Proven experience in business or accounting management within loan servicing
• High school diploma or equivalent certification (GED)
• Proficiency in financial reporting systems and reconciliation tools
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
