Account Follow-Up Representative

Job Summary

To support the resolution of outstanding insurance balances for hospital patient accounts, the full-time remote Account Follow-Up Representative will manage research, follow-up on claims, and communicate with insurance companies while working an average of 30-40 accounts per day.

Key responsibilities

• Timely follow-up on outstanding insurance payments, including verifying claim statuses and documenting resolution steps
• Research patient accounts and route them through appropriate workflows to ensure timely resolution
• Communicate effectively with insurance companies to facilitate payment of outstanding balances

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; 1+ years of experience in a related field preferred
• Proficiency in computer applications, including Excel and database software
• Experience with medical billing and coding coursework accepted in lieu of experience
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively under pressure
• Access to high-speed internet (minimum 300 Mbps) and a smartphone for Multi-Factor Authentication
