Account Investigator

Job Summary

To support the Refunds Team, the full-time Account Investigator will analyze patient accounts to resolve credit balances and determine necessary refunds or adjustments, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct extensive investigations into patient accounts that may require refunds
• Utilize knowledge of various carrier types, including commercial and governmental
• Apply understanding of medical accounts receivable to ensure timely resolution of credit balances

Required qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Experience in physician billing related to AR, Refunds, or Payments
• Ability to analyze and interpret medical billing documentation and data
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workload effectively
• Professional discretion and independent judgment in daily tasks
