Account Representative

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Account Representative to manage fiscal functions related to payments owed to the hospital.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage billing, collections, and payment posting for assigned accounts
• Assist in the claim appeal process and follow up on payment discrepancies
• Evaluate referrals to agencies and ensure compliance with service management standards

Required Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Collections or medical billing experience preferred
• Basic understanding of ICD9, CPT4, HCPCS, and medical terminology
• Familiarity with third-party payor guidelines and reimbursement practices
• Experience with personal computers and office equipment
