Job Summary
Account Specialist for Benefits Management, a full-time position responsible for assisting youth transitioning from foster care and their families in understanding and managing federal benefit programs while providing customer support and tracking service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist older foster youth and families in understanding federal benefit programs and eligibility requirements
- Educate youth and caregivers on managing and maintaining benefits during the transition from foster care
- Provide clear and compassionate customer service while tracking individual caseloads and documentation
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree or 2 years of relevant experience
- Experience in customer service, benefits administration, or social services
- Familiarity with Social Security benefits and human services organizations is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a caseload and meet deadlines
- Proficiency with standard office software and databases
