Accountant

Job Summary

Managing financial transactions and ensuring compliance, the full-time Accountant will prepare financial statements, manage budgets, and oversee accounts payable and receivable while working onsite at either the Rosecrance Jackson Recovery Center or RMG-Chicagoland with a flexible remote option for the last two weeks of the month.

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare, post, and upload journal entries, reconcile accounts, and calculate accrued expenses for month-end closing
• Review and ensure journal entries comply with GAAP and maintain accurate financial records
• Prepare monthly fee-for-service and grant utilization reports, analyzing trends and offering feedback for improvements

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field
• Demonstrated experience with general accounting procedures or equivalent education and training
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
