Accountant

Job Summary

A company in the financial industry is seeking an Accountant to prepare and review financial transactions, maintain accounting records, manage and reconcile accounts, and help with the preparation of financial reports.

Position Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review financial transactions
• Maintain accurate accounting records
• Manage and reconcile accounts in accordance with GAAP and GASB requirements and help with the preparation of financial reports

Required Qualifications:

• BA/BS in Accounting or related field
• Two years of professional accounting experience or experience in a related field
• Advanced proficiency in business applications, especially spreadsheets
• Ability to analyze, interpret and implement new accounting standards, University policies, and procedures
• Certified Public Accountant (preferred)
