Accountant I

Job Summary

To support the financial operations of the University, the full-time remote Accountant I will perform professional accounting tasks, including ledger account reconciliation, cash transaction analysis, and participation in the month-end close process.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile ledger accounts to ensure data accuracy and compliance with University policies
• Analyze and reconcile cash transactions, ensuring adherence to internal control procedures
• Assist in the month-end close process and preparation of quarterly financial statements in accordance with US GAAP

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting strongly preferred
• 1 year of professional accounting experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
