Accountant - Operating Expenses

Job Summary

Supporting accurate accounting and reporting of operating expenses, the full-time Accountant - Operating Expenses will manage month-end close activities, apply US GAAP capitalization criteria, and collaborate with various teams in a hybrid work environment in Denver, CO.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations of operating expense accounts
• Apply US GAAP capitalization criteria to labor-related costs and support capitalized labor processes
• Maintain documentation for internal controls and support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting related to operating expenses

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2-4 years of accounting experience, preferably in operating expense accounting
• Working knowledge of US GAAP, including capitalization and expense recognition
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Workday)
• Proficient Excel skills with strong analytical capabilities
