Accountant with CPA License
Job Summary
To support a growing financial services organization, the full-time remote Accountant with CPA License will manage the accounting cycle for technical areas, ensure compliance with GAAP in financial statements, and collaborate with local finance teams to optimize financial processes.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the accounting cycle for assigned technical accounting areas including investments, debt, leases, and revenue recognition
- Research and apply GAAP and local accounting guidance to complex transactions, drafting policies and preparing technical memos for auditors
- Prepare and review annual external financial statements for accuracy and compliance with GAAP
Required qualifications
- 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the Financial Services industry within a multi-currency environment
- Demonstrable experience in leading an audit
- Strong understanding of the financial close process
- CPA or similar designation, or in the process of obtaining such designation
- Enthusiasm for learning new reporting tools and optimizing processes
