Accounting Associate

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Accounting Associate to manage financial responsibilities in a part-time, remote role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately classify and record financial transactions using the accrual method of accounting
• Monitor and manage daily cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operations
• Prepare and issue customer invoices, track payment statuses, and follow up on outstanding accounts

Required Qualifications:

• Must be based in the United States
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; relevant experience may substitute
• At least 2 years of experience in managing financial functions with significant autonomy
• Practical experience with the accrual method of accounting and understanding of GAAP
• Experience with accounting software, preferably Wave, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
