Accounting Associate
Job Summary
To support a growing ecommerce business, the full-time remote Accounting Associate will manage financial transactions, prepare financial statements, and assist with budgeting and forecasting while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions and lead month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and conduct variance analysis to identify performance drivers
- Collaborate on annual budgets and rolling forecasts, monitoring budget performance against actual results
Required qualifications:
- 3+ years of progressively responsible experience in Accounting
- Proficiency in ERP software; expertise in Xero is a plus
- Experience with Public Accounting or in tech/high growth companies
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
- Advanced data analysis skills using Excel, including pivot tables and formulas
