Accounting Department Chair

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Academic Department Chair in Accounting.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and evaluate full- and part-time faculty, including hiring, training, and performance appraisal
• Collaborate with the Scheduling Manager for class scheduling and faculty assignments in accounting programs
• Oversee course curriculum development and maintain curriculum relevance in collaboration with course leaders and the Assistant Dean of Curriculum

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Accounting (MSA or MBA) with CPA required; Ph.D. or terminal degree in Accounting preferred
• 3-5 years of experience in post-secondary education, with online instruction experience preferred
• Leadership experience and proficiency in online learning environments
• Exceptional computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Google applications, and online meeting technology
• Ability to work independently in a virtual environment and manage a flexible schedule
