Accounting Director

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Accounting Director.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements
• Maintain internal controls and safeguards for receipt of revenue and actual expenditures
• Lead internal support for the annual external audit and IRS Form 990 filing, including the vetting of a qualified auditing firm for board approval and preparing schedules, as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration
• CPA certification in current active status
• At least 10 years of progressive professional experience managing reporting, budget development and analysis, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll, and accounting for investments and coordinating audit activities
• 5+ years as a supervising manager overseeing a team of employees
• Demonstrated experience in non-profit accounting
