Accounting Manager

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations in a government contracting environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle government contract accounting, including A/P, A/R, billing, payroll, and monthly close
• Ensure compliance with government contract regulations and maintain financial statement integrity
• Supervise and mentor a Senior Accountant while implementing process improvements for efficiency

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Five or more years of progressive accounting experience, particularly in government contracting
• Knowledge of FAR Part 31, CAS, DFARS, and DCAA requirements
• Strong GAAP and government contract cost accounting knowledge
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting software such as Unanet or Deltek Costpoint
