Accounting Manager

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Accounting Manager who will manage daily accounting operations and ensure compliance with financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, reconcile financial statements, and maintain fiscal records
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and federal regulations, and assist in the preparation for audits
• Monitor federal award expenditures and manage general ledger activities

Qualifications and Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA preferred
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in nonprofit accounting or federal award management
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and federal compliance regulations
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Experience working in a remote environment preferred
