Accounting Manager

Job Summary

To support a nationwide, virtual-first specialty medical practice, the remote Accounting Manager will oversee general accounting functions, coordinate financial planning and budgeting activities, and manage junior staff while ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes
• Coordinate financial planning, budgeting, and investment activities to meet organizational objectives
• Analyze financial data and recommend improvements to enhance systems and financial performance

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; master's degree or CPA certification preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting or finance experience, with a proven managerial track record
• Proficiency in making Journal Entries and managing financial records
• Strong understanding of accounting theory and principles
• High proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel
