Accounting Manager

Job Summary

Managing the accounting and finance functions for the Finance & Business Services department, the full-time Accounting Manager will oversee internal controls, client deliverables, and fiscal services while leading and coaching the accounting staff in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day internal controls and operations, leading team members in the department
• Review and issue timely client deliverables with analysis to ensure accurate reporting
• Manage audit and tax processes for entities, ensuring timely completion of reporting

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
• 8-10 years of progressive nonprofit experience in accounting
• Experience with donor grant agreements and restricted grant accounting
• Knowledge of banking cash management systems and software such as QuickBooks Online or NetSuite
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly in-depth use of Excel
