Accounting Manager

Job Summary

Owning the monthly close process, the full-time remote Accounting & Controls Manager will manage day-to-day accounting tasks, oversee inventory accounting for physical metal, and build the control environment necessary for a scaling company while preparing for future audits.

Key responsibilities

• Run the monthly close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and delivering financial statements
• Maintain clean books through AP and AR workflows, bill processing, and hands-on bookkeeping
• Develop and enforce accounting policies and internal controls suitable for a startup environment

Required qualifications

• 5-10 years of progressive accounting experience with full ownership of a monthly close calendar
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP, accruals, revenue recognition, and internal controls
• Proficient in QuickBooks Online or equivalent ERP systems, with experience in integrated fintech tools
• Detail-oriented and able to work accurately under tight deadlines
