Accounting Manager

Job Summary

Managing the monthly close for a diverse portfolio of high-growth startups, the fully remote Accounting Manager will oversee a team of offshore accountants, ensuring accurate financial statements and engaging directly with clients on strategic advisory work.

Key responsibilities

• Generate timely and accurate monthly financial statements while reviewing the offshore team's work
• Engage in client calls, translating financial data into actionable insights for founders
• Coordinate tax and compliance activities with external partners, including federal and state income tax returns

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a management or review role
• Experience managing multiple clients or entities, preferably in public accounting or outsourced accounting
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and full-cycle monthly close processes
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Xero and advanced skills in Google Sheets
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred
