Accounting Manager

Job Summary

Overseeing the day-to-day accounting activities for loan and debt portfolios, the full-time remote Manager of Loan and Debt Accounting will ensure accurate financial reporting, lead the month-end close process, and supervise accounting staff while driving process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting activities related to loan and debt transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies
• Lead the month-end close process, including journal entry reviews, account reconciliations, and financial analysis
• Supervise and develop accounting staff, providing guidance, feedback, and support for professional growth

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and experience with loan or financial services-related accounting
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop accounting professionals
• Experience with internal controls and process improvements in accounting
