Accounting Manager

Job Summary

To support clinical trials and manufacturing operations, the remote Accounting Manager will manage the accurate accrual and analysis of R&D expenses, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP while collaborating with cross-functional teams and external service providers.

Key responsibilities

• Review and assess accounting implications of clinical trial agreements, vendor contracts, and budgets to develop appropriate accrual methodologies
• Prepare and analyze quarterly clinical trial and manufacturing accruals, investigating variances and identifying necessary adjustments
• Interface with external auditors and maintain SOX controls while supporting continuous improvement of accounting processes

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA license preferred
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance with ownership of accruals
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SOX controls
• Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems, along with experience in clinical trial accrual and forecasting tools
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
