Accounting Manager

Job Summary

Owning the day-to-day financial operations, the full-time Accounting Manager will manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, expense management, and vendor administration while supporting bordereau and carrier payment operations, financial reporting, and audit administration in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee premium accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely collections and accurate cash application
• Support the preparation of bordereau assembly and carrier payments, resolving discrepancies and maintaining the payment calendar
• Administer the annual audit response process and assist with statutory reporting and financial documentation

Required qualifications

• 5-7 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, preferably in a high-growth environment
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Working knowledge of GAAP and STAT, with experience in a regulated insurance business preferred
• Hands-on experience with accounting systems or ERPs and AP/spend management platforms
• Demonstrated ability to utilize AI tools for process improvements in accounting operations
