Accounting Manager (Not-for-Profit)

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Accounting Manager for the Not-for-Profit sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversees day-to-day and month-end close entries, including revenue, payroll, and reconciliations
• Prepares and reviews complex reconciliations and manages the month-end and year-end closing process
• Communicates with clients, supervises accounting teams, and assists with external audits and year-end 1099 submissions

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in nonprofit accounting, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field; CPA preferred
• Proficiency in automated accounting software such as Sage Intacct or QuickBooks
• Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple client requirements
• Advanced understanding of general and subsidiary ledgers and financial statements
