Accounting Operations Director

Job Summary

Leading the Accounting function, the full-time Head of Accounting Operations will oversee the end-to-end accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, drive operational excellence through internal controls and performance metrics, and champion automation initiatives while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full accounts payable lifecycle, ensuring timely processing of invoices and managing vendor relationships
• Lead accounts receivable operations, developing credit and collections policies to minimize DSO and enhance customer payment experiences
• Design and implement internal controls and build executive-level dashboards to provide visibility into financial operations and performance metrics

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 8+ years of progressive experience in accounting operations, with at least 3 years in a management or director-level role
• Demonstrated expertise in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end close processes
• Proven track record in designing and implementing internal controls and process improvements
• Hands-on experience with accounting and ERP systems such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP
