Accounting Operations Specialist

Job Summary

Detail-oriented and proactive, the full-time Accounting & Finance Operations Specialist will support financial health by managing key accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance across multiple affiliated entities in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support monthly closing processes, including payroll, journal entries, and reconciliations, in collaboration with the Finance and Operations team
• Review and process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), including tracking aging and payments
• Maintain accurate electronic filing systems for financial documentation and support audit and tax preparation

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of finance and accounting experience, preferably in a nonprofit setting
• Proficient understanding of finance and accounting principles, including AP, AR, and GAAP
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Experience preparing financial statements and reports, with a focus on cost allocations
• Proactive communication style with a high degree of responsiveness and follow-through
