Accounting Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Accounting Specialist to join a fully-remote team on a contract basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the month-end close cycle by preparing journal entries and ensuring deadlines are met
• Maintain general ledger accuracy through routine posting activities and account reviews
• Process accounts payable transactions and assist with accounts receivable activities

Required Qualifications and Education

• Hands-on experience in accounting operations, including general ledger support
• Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation practices
• Proficiency in Excel for organizing and analyzing large volumes of financial data
• Experience using accounting systems, preferably Acumatica, to extract financial information
• Ability to assist with journal entries and reconciliations tied to the month-end close process
