Accounting Specialist

Job Summary

Providing critical accounting system and operational support, the full-time remote Accounting Specialist will analyze transactions, resolve complex processing issues, and ensure the accuracy of general ledger activity while collaborating with internal stakeholders and Managed Service Providers.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct analysis to resolve business and processing issues, providing problem-solving support to internal stakeholders
• Ensure the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with internal controls and SOX
• Monitor Managed Service Provider activity to ensure accurate and timely journal entries to the general ledger

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's)
• 1 - 3+ years of experience in accounting directly aligned with the specific responsibilities of this position
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, etc.)
• Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment
• Demonstrated solid relationship management skills with internal clients
