Accounting Technician

Job Summary

Supporting the U.S. Department of Justice's complex litigation mission, the full-time Accounting Technician will review and analyze financial data and accounting systems in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Review and analyze financial data and documents
• Work under the supervision of an auditor or financial analyst
• Perform technical level duties in accounting, banking, or finance as required

Required qualifications:

• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Public Trust clearance
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Two-year degree in accounting or a four-year degree in a related field with 30 credit hours in accounting
• Relevant financial and accounting experience may substitute for education requirements
• Knowledge of manual and automated accounting systems used by financial institutions
