Accounting Transformation Manager

Job Summary

Partnering with Accounting, Finance, and Operations, the full-time Accounting Transformation Manager will modernize financial processes and enhance reporting efficiency while supporting ongoing growth initiatives, with a flexible hybrid or remote work arrangement preferred for candidates in the Detroit, MI or Birmingham, AL areas.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and improve existing accounting and finance processes to identify inefficiencies and automation opportunities
• Lead the redesign and remediation of processes, ensuring compliance and supporting IPO readiness initiatives
• Oversee the implementation and enhancement of finance systems and reporting infrastructure, ensuring data reliability and auditability

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred
• 4-6 years of experience in financial accounting roles, with a preference for Big 4 public accounting or public company experience
• Strong understanding of accounting processes, internal controls, and experience supporting SOX and audit requirements
• Proficiency with ERP systems (Workday preferred) and extensive experience with Excel and Microsoft Suite
