Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Summary

Managing carrier and broker payables, the part-time Agency Accounts Payable Specialist will reconcile transactions, prepare payments, and maintain organized filing systems in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage carrier and broker payables to ensure timely and accurate transactions
• Reconcile invoices and statements to confirm agreement with internal records
• Prepare and process payments in accordance with established procedures

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of accounts payable experience in a property and casualty insurance agency or broker environment
• Strong understanding of AP processes, reconciliations, and financial controls
• Familiarity with insurance carrier payment procedures and agency accounting operations
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field (preferred)
• Experience with Applied EPIC software
