Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Summary

To ensure accurate and timely control functions in compliance with SOX and audit requirements, the full-time remote Accounts Payable Sr. Specialist will manage vendor reviews, resolve utility service disruptions, and perform account reconciliations while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities:

• Review new and updated vendor setups for compliance with SOX and IRS requirements
• Act as the primary contact for resolving utility shutoff and service disruption issues
• Perform quarterly fluctuation analysis and monitor assigned balance sheet accounts for accuracy

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, or 2+ years of relevant experience
• Advanced data manipulation skills in Microsoft Excel, including V-Lookup and Pivot Tables
• Ability to manage deadlines and conflicting priorities effectively
• Collaborative mindset with adaptability to policy and technology changes
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction across all organizational levels
