Accounts Receivable Manager

Job Summary

To optimize revenue cycle performance, the full-time salaried Accounts Receivable Manager will oversee billing, collections, and reimbursement processes for a client hospital, leading a team of A/R specialists in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day activities of A/R staff, ensuring efficient follow-up and performance tracking
• Conduct thorough reviews of patient accounts to ensure billing accuracy and implement strategies to improve collection rates
• Generate reports on team performance and mentor staff to meet key metrics and reduce denials

Required qualifications:

• Minimum five years of hospital business office billing and collections experience, with at least two years in a managerial role
• Proficient understanding of medical office terminology and critical access hospital operations
• Strong analytical skills for identifying and resolving complex billing issues
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in medical billing or healthcare administration is preferred
• CPSI experience is a plus
