Accounts Receivable Representative

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Accounts Receivable Representative II, responsible for managing outstanding accounts receivable from third-party payers.

Key Responsibilities

• Contact insurance companies for status on outstanding claims and process appeals
• Maintain accuracy in accounts receivable and meet departmental productivity standards
• Communicate with patients regarding payment arrangements for outstanding balances

Required Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in business administration preferred
• 1-3 years of professional or healthcare experience preferred
• 1-3 years of accounts receivable experience preferred
• Basic math skills and understanding of medical terminology
• Knowledge of insurance processing, managed care, Medicare, and Medicaid guidelines
