Accounts Receivable Representative

Job Summary

Working remotely in a part-time capacity, the Accounts Receivable Representative will facilitate the timely collection of payments owed to the organization, utilizing knowledge of multi-specialty coding and insurance processes.

Key responsibilities:

• Resolve payment discrepancies with insurance carriers and ensure compliance with payer contracts
• Coordinate necessary documentation and follow up on outstanding account balances to expedite payment
• Identify trends in payer non-compliance and communicate issues to management for resolution

Required qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED required
• One year of experience in medical billing, collections, or managed care
• Knowledge of multi-specialty ICD-9 and CPT coding
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel and Word
• Ability to type at least 30 words per minute
