Accounts Receivable Representative

Job Summary

To support the revenue cycle management team, the remote Accounts Receivable Representative II will be responsible for collecting outstanding accounts receivable from third-party payers, processing appeals, and maintaining productivity standards.

Key responsibilities

• Contact insurance companies for status updates on outstanding claims and process appeals as necessary
• Work through assigned accounts receivable queues and maintain an accuracy rating of 97% or greater on audited accounts
• Identify trends in accounts receivable and communicate findings to leadership while maintaining strict confidentiality

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate or bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field is preferred
• 1-3 years of professional experience in healthcare and accounts receivable is preferred
• Basic math skills and understanding of medical terminology, CPT, ICD-10, and ASA codes
• Advanced knowledge of insurance processing, guidelines, and laws, including managed care, Medicare, and Medicaid
• Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Teams
